Giving birth up to two weeks before or after your estimated due date is completely normal. The first baby generally takes a bit longer to arrive than the second or third. Only ten per cent of babies are born on the due date. This is not much consolation, because these days generally seem to last as long as the entire pregnancy. The waiting is difficult and boring, but it will all be over soon.
